 THE RED FEATHER JOURNAL

 POSTMODERN CRIMINOLOGY
 An International Journal
 
 SPECIAL ISSUE: Shameless Criminology: Shame and Social Interaction in
 Crime Prevention

 Postmodern Criminology is a Peer-Reviewed Electronic Journal.
 Manuscripts will be reviewed by the Editorial Board or Outside Reviewers.
 
 Important Dates:
 
 Submission of Papers: 15 March, 2000
 Notification of acceptance: 15 April 2000
 Publication of Journal: 15 May 2000
 
 Papers addressing alternative forms of punishment and crime deterrence
 will be considered, particularly those addressing:
 
 1. Shaming conferences
 
 2. Analysis of the various types of shame
 
 3. Building pro-democratic community connections (mediating structures) in
         light of non-normative behavior(s)
 
 4. Degradation and/or reintegrative ceremonies from an interactionists,
         activists, and/or community reformer perspective
 
 5. Social, psychological, neurological, or social-psychological effects of
         emotions (positive or negative) on individuals in the prevention,
         deterrence, treatment, and punishment of non-normative behaviors
 
 6. Other innovative approaches to punishment and deterrence of
         non-normative behavior

 Articles that attach negative or positive attributes to special persons or
 to entire groups will not be considered.

 Details of paper:
 
 1. Papers can vary from 10 to 30 pages, which includes references.
 2. Manuscript Fee: There is no fee for submission.
 3. Graphics: Any graphics must be in gif. images (Please send any
         graphics in separate files, either on disk or email).
 4. Turn Around Time: You will hear from the Editors within three weeks.
        If you have not heard by then, please do remind the Editor.
 
 Submission of Papers
 
 Prospective authors must send two copies of the full paper in word,
 WordPerfect, or ASCII to the Issue Editor's addresses below:

 1. Author(s) name, paper title
 
 2. University, Institution, Agency, Community group, or Organization

 The closing date for submissions is 15 March 2000.
 Authors will be notified of acceptance by or before 15 April 2000.
