The editors of Social Pathology seek manuscripts and books reviews
consistent with the journal's mission.
Social Pathology, recently acquired by Sage Publications, is in its six
year of production. The journal that presents reviews and original research
focusing on the relationships between crime, deviance and justice issues and
social structure. Of particular interest are articles that examine race,
class and gender issues with respect to crime, deviance and justice. The
journal's editors are also committed to providing an outlet for controversial
research, and will work with authors to address reviewer comments that will
lead to the publication of suitable works.
Social Pathology publishes several types of articles and reviews:
1. original essays reexamining research and theory in an area which suggests
new directions;
2. unique quantitative and qualitative applications;
3. review essays examining the literature in an area;
4. in-depth or feature book reviews providing extensive comment and
criticisms on a book, series of books or articles. These reviews can be up
to 20 pages in length;
5. traditional book reviews (5-8 double spaced pages).
Social Pathology is a peer reviewed journal. Submissions should be in APA
style. Submit two hard copies and one disk copy (in MSword or WordPerfect)
and one clearly labeled disk copy to:
