...looking for suggestions for a short summary of labeling theory that I
could give to an undergraduate class in an introductory CJ course - book
chapter or easy article (some of the students won't be soc. or CJ majors,
and there will be several in a high school honors program). Obviously the
summary can't be too complex, and it needs to be readable overnight, or two
at max. I'm looking more for something that deals with description as
opposed to evidence or pros and cons of the theory. ...also not really
interested in history or names of the proponents. I haven't found anything
to my liking in a few different crim texts that I have looked at.

Anyone have any favorites fitting the above description that they could
suggest?

Thanks in advance

Jeff
