Hi Walter.....
The deadline is October 1. Just do the following:
1) send me the name
2) a vita (electronically, if possible, because there are 4 others on
the committee
3) A statement (a page or so) justifying the nomination.
If it's for a book or body of scholarship, then send along
(electronically, if possible, or on disk) a sample. If it's for a corpus
of work over years, and if the name is well known, then a vita should be
sufficiant

And, while you're thinking of it, perhaps send along a student paper or
two as well. Submissions in that area are sparse, and it's a great way to
generate student interest.
