I've been using an electronic discussion list for the class (and
undergrad group of juniors/seniors), which has gone quite well.
This term, we pulled in some people from a class at U of Illinois/Chicago,
which added an interesting dimension to the course. I'm wondering how
it might go if we had several classes interacting electronically???
I keep the discussion archived at:
http://venus.soci.niu.edu/~archives/PRISTALK/pristalk.html if anybody
wants to see the substance of the discussions. The students seem to enjoy
the diversity, and it adds lots to course content.
