CALL FOR PAPERS
Oral papers are limited to a summary of a 20 minute paper.
Posters papers for presentation in a poster session, should consist
of a description of the theme. Prospective authors for oral and
poster papers should complete and return the reply form TOGETHER WITH
A 300 - WORD ABSTRACT (PLEASE SEE THE WEBSITE FOR INSTRUCTIONS) not
later than 29 May 1998. Authors will be informed of the acceptance of
their papers by 15 June 1998. Papers will only be accepted on the
understanding that the main author or a co-author will personally
present the paper.

in line with international human rights, for the criminal justice

FORM OF THE CONFERENCE
The conference will include plenary, poster, workshop and parallel
sessions.
KEYNOTE ADDRESSES
Various prominent speakers will be invited to present a paper

Block bookings at the following hotels have been made. Reservations
can only be made through the Conference Organizers on the official
registration form.

The official conference hotel is situated 1,5 hours drive from
Johannesburg and Pretoria in the Pilanesburg Mountains.

TRAVEL/TRANSPORT
Should you require any assistance with air travel, please contact the
Conference Organizers. A return shuttle service from Johannesburg
International Airport will be provided. Please note the rates on the
registration form. If you wish to connect from Johannesburg to Sun
City by air, please indicate on the registration form. There will be
no official shuttle service between the alternative hotels and Sun
City. Should you however require assistance, please contact the
Conference Organizers.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Registration and the Opening Ceremony will take place on Monday 21
September 1998 and the Gala Dinner on Thursday 24 September 1998.

Daily Attendance R 750.00
Conference Banquet R 150.00
The full registration fee includes 4 day conference, lunches,
