You might want to go back and cogitate a bit about Charon's idea that symbols
make human beings possible. In part, I think, he means to differentiate
between a human being and, well, how about a 'potential human being'? Is a
newborn homo sapiens a human being? Genie and the other isolated children make
thinking about this more interesting, I think.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'soul,' myself.
Interesting thinking. It 8will* take you out there all by yourself, won't it?
