I tend to see your point. I think that since we change worlds so many
times, the "shock" has worn off and we are not really affected by the
shock unless it is a drastic shift to another world. We just don't seem
to notice the buzzer going off in our heads saying "Warning! Unidentified
territory!" because we've heard it too many times. It's kind of like
living too close to a rail road track or an airport (both of qhich I have
done). You stop taking notice until someone on the phone says "What's
that loud noise?" I hope that is an ok explination for your first
question.
