On Mar. 6 Elizaabeth Simmons asked if there was anything that
could not be accounted for, and I believe I have an answer. Yes.
First there are two types of accounts; excuses and justifications. Both
of these imply that an actor who is using an account is an attempt to
mend or mediate an interaction where one party has lost face, is offened,
embarrassed, or injured. In any case, when an account is given it is
asked for by another party or volanteered by the actor when that actor
percieves that his/her actions need to be excused or justified. So,if
there is a situation or interaction that does not stand to be improved or
mended by an account, can an account, by definition, be given. I do not
think so, although I may be wrong. Comments?

By the way, if anyone would like to retire
very, very rich, write an e-mail program with a spell checker, but if
one already exists, why doesn't Wake have it?!!!!
