i definitely think the media is a forum for politics. the success of a
candidate usually depends on his/her ability to present him/herself in a
good light for the media culture. tv can make or break a candidate.
also, the focus has been taken away from the actual issues that are the
most important. gossip news (current affair, etc) bring into light the
dark pasts of candidates, which can be haelpful in determining the
reliability and general character of the person, but that information is
often invalid. it truly is a media circus, especially when it comes to
politics
