i was having an interesting conversation with a couple of my girl friends
last night. we came to the conclusion that we will probably not see a
woman as the pres. of the us in our lifetime because the roles cannot be
redefined in that short a time. what do y'all think? i think that a
woman could make it as far as becoming a candidate, but will never
actually make it to office for many reasons. mainly, the international
implications...many countries still view women as entirely subordinate
and dealing with a women in internat'l affairs would probably not work.
there would have to be a global redefining of goals. i know that's sadly
pessimistic, but it is probably true, but what are others' ideas?
