Margarete Epstein and I are taking over the day to day
workings of the SSSI homepage on the web.
We're currently looking for input on what the SSSI
members would like to see happen with the site.
What we would like right now are:
1) the URL addresses of any homepages of members or other
sociology web pages.
2) Some ideas about how to get people to contribute writings to the site.
3) We would also like to set up a "who's who" of both current
SI members and "famous" interactionists such as Mead, Blumer and Goffman
etc. Anyone who is willing to write a brief biography of whoever should
drop us a line. We're thinking about having something like 2 or 3 paragraphs
per individual plus a list of "required readings."

I would like to encourage you to do so. So far it's been going really well,
and we
welcome more participation. Also: PLEASE ENCOURAGE
ALL OF YOUR STUDENTS TO SUBSCRIBE! that's what
it's there for.
