IBM types will disagree, but given your state of "techie phobia" you
would be MUCH better off purchasing a Mac or Mac clone. The
operating system is till half a decade ahead of Windows 95 and much
more user friendly. I recently bought a Performa 6214CD and I love
it. However, if I were you, I would go for slightly more powerful
(and slightly more expensive) PowerMac 7500 or a clone of this
machine. If OSU is like most other Universities, it probably has a
deal with Apple where faculty can buy Apple products at a
signficantly lower cost than you could find either at retail outlet
or through wholesale catalogs. Just my humble opinion.
