This is not a new resource, but you should look at the ethnography
Saints, Scholars, and Schizophrenics by Nancy Scheper Hughes.
It is an excellent study of schizophrenia in a rural Irish community.
She utilizes an SI perspective, and the language of deviance and labeling.
I think you might find it quite interesting.
