I've tried it, and it wasn't great. Maybe newer versions have improved,
but still it provides support for a pretty limited subset of TeX. What's
more important to me, platform support is quite limited. I simply can't
run Solaris on all our workstations; and I like Macs, too!

By the way, the picture is further complicated by the need for some
degree of interaction. WebEQ is one of the gadgets that tries to provide
it, but to me the net result is less than exciting. See
