What I do is probably klutzy and primitive, but I've found that
(on Unix) using the vi editor with some pre-written comments that
can be inserted in about 1 second, and a symbol of some kind that can be
replaced with something personal (eg, changing * to "your paper on
violence") is quite easy. For a number of papers, put a page break
at the end, print out the comments, and attach them to the papers.
