Intrigued by Steve Bachrach's posting to the Webmasters
mailing list, I took a look at the *Internet Journal of Chemistry.* I
am impressed by the promise of lower publication cost, faster
publication speed, and higher publication quality (graphics,
animations, 3-D renderings, access to original data in addition to
standard text at the option of the articles' authors), all achieved
while still maintaining a traditional level of academic rigor through
peer review. The *Internet Journal of Chemistry* looks like an
excellent model for the establishment of Internet Journals in other
disciplines.
