Herb - I know. I was less trying to raise an issue that we all know about,
and more trying to add one little piece of ammo to the stockpile. What made
this one notable, in my view, was that it was unsolicited and strongly
written by an outsider -- an incoming MA student.

But you are right that the issue itself has been raised, and its the details
that have to get worked out. This was more of a motivational forward than a
persuasive one.
