Yes, I was speaking of the "buttons" and not the photograph. jpg does a
better job with photos than gif. I had thought that the b/w sidebar was a
jpg, but it is a gif. Sorry about the confusion. You could, however,
improve the load-speed of the photo by segmenting it into four smaller jpgs
and tying them together in a table.

Also, the bottom link buttons (Alumni, etc.) coulld improve if you
converted it to a gif. I would recommend converting it from your original
photoshop image. Try saving with different color amounts (16, 32, etc.)
and see which is acceptable.
