Jim, I would very much like to participate in a discussion that creates
an "architecture" for the pages of our college. I have some ideas about
the design of the things and how it can be organized, but I am sure
discussion with my colleagues (who might be interested) would change and
temper the ideas. Then, I would like to get to work building the pages.
I would like to see a College page under the NIU home page. Then links
to departments. Then links to programs and faculty. I would like to see
e-mail facilitated requests for information and catalogs.
On the faculty page, I would like to see low res photos of each member of
the faculty and a "blurb" about their research and/or artistry or a small
repro of their work. I did a page that might serve as a model....and it
is up and running at HTTP://www.wp.com/bmahmoud
Not fancy in the html realm, but neat and to the point, I think.
