I have created a web site for people interested in current
events and public affairs called "NewsPath to news and sources."
NewsPath guides you to news, weather and sports from around the
world, to media lists, to news sources for facts and opinions, to
light news (music, TV, travel), and to useful Internet tools.
http://www.niu.edu/newspath/
It also serves as a fast easy way to learn to use the web.
I have a student-tested way to learn or teach using the web in
less than 10 minutes.
NewsPath is on the NIU Home Page, where students start.
So you may tell students to find it that way.
If you're on Corn, follow the Lynx instructions.

Step 3. Start exploring. Click or right-arrow something.
Click or right-arrow something else. Go back to NewsPath and
explore something else, making bookmarks if you find something
you may want to return to. Check your watch to see how long it
took.
