I think this is a matter of form versus content. Having a beautiful
background texture, versus being able to put up my paper on the Web in
such a way that everyone will be able to view it and print it
accurately. The aesthetics are important, but secondary to me. So I'm
simply trying to point out what the function of the Web was supposed
to be: making _information_ accessible in a convenient form. I worry
that many programmers and many designers of Web pages often forget that,
going after slick and stunning effects instead.
