I think we all went astray. I was responding to the previous poster,
who was obviously concerned about his pages being readable. I simply
stated my philosophy: if you want to have as large an audience as
possible, keep in mind the limitations of browsers, and design your
pages using only the means necessary to convey that information.
I also enjoy looking at the beautifully designed pages, on-line
photography galleries, and the like. I am forced to use Netscape and
16 bit color then, and I am lucky to have that option; however, that
wasn't the point. Please let's not argue for the sake of arguing.
I agree that your/Jeff's page is a joy to behold!

Except with the Sun version of Netscape this is an undocumented option
which took me three hours of tweaking and snooping around to discover.
