URL at bottom of page

I noticed today that Steven A. Johnson, Webmaster of the LA&S page has
their URL at the bottom of the page. I like this idea, as so often
when I print out a web page I forget to write down the URL and have
difficulty finding it again if I need it.

Anyone else have any comments (or better ideas) about this procedure.
My only concern is that the footers of my pages are tending to get
long with stuff like return to, last update, webmaster address,
disclaimers, etc.
